Value Comparision

Joining the Gujarati Samaj as a member is actually a better deal than paying individually for events. Consider the example below:

Imagine a family with two adults and two children. This family could pay just $100 a year for all events plus a convenient membership directory. As non-members, if this family came to all three Navratri events plus the Diwali event, they would actually pay more:

Navratri 1: $10/adult+ $5/child or student = $30
Navratri 2: $10/adult+ $5/child or student = $30
Navratri 3: $10/adult+ $5/child or student = $30
Diwali: $20/adult+ $10/child or student  = $60

If this family attends the above events, it would pay $150. For this price, you would get only four events! It is clearly a better deal to become a real member - for less money, you get to attend more events and receive a membership directory.
