Membership Benefits

Since 1967, the Gujarati Samaj of Minnesota has been a pioneer in preserving our rich Gujarati heritage in the United States while celebrating our culture with our family and friends. As a nonprofit organization, we aim to make membership affordable for all Gujaratis living in Minnesota. In return, we promise to deliver the best events possible in your home away from home. Here's what you get with Samaj membership:

Gujarati Connections

Connect, network, and share with fellow Gujaratis. We have Gujaratis that originated from all parts of world, including India, England, Africa, and of course, in the United States. With nearly 1,000 members (growing each year), you are bound to make lifelong friends with like-mined Gujaratis.

Exciting Celebrations

With membership, you can enjoy all the Samaj events for free or for a nomial fee (usually less than 50% the regular rate). Join as for a grand feast of food at the Diwali celebration, or play games with the kids at youth events such as picnics and snow tubing. And of course, our most popular events are the several Navratri Dandia Raas garbas we hold annually. The Gujarati Samaj makes it easy to preserve our heritage and celebrate our culture.

Super Deals

Samaj membership also brings several added benefits. Most imporantly, you get a Membership Directory listing all the contact information of fellow Gujarati members, plus listings for local Indian-owned or operated businesses.

Throughout the year, we have several other specials. For example, in 2007, the Samaj was able to offer free ACT exam preperation from a leading test prep company for our youth.
