General

How many grandparents can be added to a Family Membership?
2 total; For example, you can add:

  • 1 baa and 1 dada,
  • 2 baa's,
  • or 2 dada's

Isn't it cheaper to just pay for individual events?
No; if you go to even a few events, such as the Navratri garbas, you can gain free admission with membership. The nonmember price for our most popular events are usually around $10/person, so it would be cheaper for a family to get membership. View a Comparison Example to learn more.

Payment

Can my married children join in my family's membership?
No; a family is considered married parents and any unmarried children. It can also include dependent grandparents that can not live alone (they must be legally depended as depicted on your IRS Tax forms). Married children must get their own membership as they are not considered dependend in accordance with the IRS.

Is there any tax on the Membership Fees?
No; the fee listed is the final cost.

What types of payment do we accept?
We only accept cash and check payments. Sorry, we cannot processes credit cards. Please make all checks out to the Gujarati Samaj of Minnesota.

What do I get with membership?
There are several benefits to Samaj membership. First, you and your family get to attend all events for free or a reduced cost. Plus, you will recieve a Membership Directory with the contact information of all other members plus Indian-owned sponsor companies.
